My Hero by Foo Fighters

There are only a few bands that captured my heart during my high school years, Oasis and Foo Fighters are the one's that really standout. I advidly collected Oasis and FF albums since HS.

I was recently able to see Foo Fighter's VH1 Storyteller's gig were they did a somewhat acoustic version of this song. I enjoyed though is Dave Grohl's incite about this song, which was inspired by "ordinary" friends in his life, but are people who he really looks up to.

Too alarming now to talk about
Take your pictures down and shake it out
Truth or consequence, say it aloud
Use that evidence, race it around

There goes my hero
Watch him as he goes
There goes my hero
He’s ordinary

Don’t the best of them bleed it out
While the rest of them peter out
Truth or consequence, say it aloud
Use that evidence, race it around

There goes my hero
Watch him as he goes
There goes my hero
He’s ordinary

Kudos my hero leaving all the best
You know my hero, the one that’s on

There goes my hero
Watch him as he goes
There goes my hero
He’s ordinary

There goes my hero
Watch him as he goes
There goes my hero
He's ordinary
