Pigeons and Crumbs

Someday, I would like to write a song like this. Simple but full of textures. It's somewhat lonely but it's a good start for the day.

Gotta get back
Gotta figure out a way
I'm losing - My senses to you
Where'd it go, the bluebird I should follow
Back home, but where is home
Guess it won't amount to much
Won't be long before I crush
I'll stand in line

Don't believe a thing they say, today
Seems we all get lost amongst the pigeons and the crumbs

All alone
But I'm in a crowded room
I'm sinking, in quick sand tonight
You pick me up, And I shine across the sky till morning,
Then you colour me in
Guess it won't amount to much
Seems to me I've lost my touch
I'm back in line

Don't believe a thing they say today
Turn around and walk away
Everything will go your way, I pray
Seems we all get lost amongst the pigeons and the crumbs

Gotta get in time
Gotta get it last time

Don't believe a thing they say today
Turn around and walk away
Everything will go your way, I pray
Seems we all get lost amongst the pigeons and the crumbs

Don't believe a thing they say today
Turn around and walk away
Everything will go your way, I pray
Seems we all get lost amongst the pigeons and the crumbs

Amphetamines by Eve 6

I was listening to this album just last Saturday while waiting for the MRT Train on Buendia Station. It just clicked that I began to appreciate this song. I just love it's energy and Jon Siebel's guitar work especially on the pre-chorus part. It just strikes me as something beautiful in it's own way. Of course, the lyrics don't hurt either.

Amphetamines and jellybeans
She was pretty in her teens
Waiting for the month of come what May
I smelled you on my shirt today
Of course the hardest part is letting go
But you've got to or you know
You'll end up waiting by the

Phone me once in a while
Let me know you're alright
Tell you again that I'm fine
Then we go about our separate lives

Was it nasty scheme or lazy dreams
I left you cold two blankets deep
This is the last song I'll send your way
I smelled you on my shirt today
Of course the hardest part is letting go
But you've got to or you know
You'll end up waiting by the

Phone me once in a while
Let me know you're alright
Tell you again that I'm fine
Then we go about our separate lives

Phone me tell me that you're waiting
By the phone for me to phone you
Once in a while
Then we go about our separate lives

Phone me once in a while
Let me know you're alright
Tell you again that I'm fine
Then we go about our separate lives

Before You by Chantal Kreviazuk

This is one of my favorite songs between my HS and College era. I believe I was already in college when I heard this. I just love the rhythm guitar and the song's cadence. I also like how Chantal Kreviazuk looked in the video for this song. I got a huge crush on her by virtue of this song.

I still don't have a copy of this song in my CD collection, I remember around the years 2004 to have seen a copy at a discount, but I regrettably passed on it.

Baby, before you
Well, I was bad news
In lettin' me love you
I think I can get through

Oh, baby before you
Well, I was so scared
I was a train wreck waitin' to happen
On the way to nowhere

And now I think it's kinda funny that you say you love me
You tell me that I'm crazy then you smile

And now I think I'll get through
The end of the world
And now I think I'll get through
Bein' a girl
Now I think I'll get through
Anything
And now I think I'll get through

Now honey around you
I'm feelin' so good
'Cause you picked me up out of the rough
And you polished me up and made me brand new

And baby before you, ho ho
There was just a black hole
Yeah I was beat down, blacked out
My darling you couldn't even know

But ever since I met you on a cloudy Monday
I can't believe how much I love the rain

And now I think I'll get through
The end of the world
And now I think I'll get through
Life as a girl
Now I think I'll get through
Anything
Now I think I'll get through

Ever since I met you on a cloudy Monday
I can't believe how much I love the rain

And now I think I'll get through
The end of the world
And now I think I'll get through
Life as a girl
Now I think I'll get through
Anything
Now I think I'll get through

Oh ... ho ...
Now I think I'll get through
Oh ....
Now I think I'll get through
Oh ... ho ...
And now I think I'll get through

And now I think I'll get through
Oh, and now I think I'll get through
Oh, and now I think I'll get through

Next Year by Foo Fighters

There's Nothing Left to Loose was the Foo Fighters album that I didn't own outright, as during the time this was released I was sort of in a limbo with the music I like OR was it because I was buying CDs already, which are more expensive that the cassette, thus I had to make well chosen purchases. Among the hits from the album, this is one of my favorites. Probably because it was more mellow that most Foo Fighters songs that I've liked.

I'm in the sky tonight,
There I can keep by your side
Watching the wide world riot and hiding out
I'll be coming home next year

Into the sun we climb
Climbing our wings will burn white
Everyone strapped in tight
We'll ride it out
I'll be coming home next year

Come on get on get on
Take it till life runs out
No one can find us now,
Living with our heads underground

Into the night we shine
Lighting the way we glide by
Catch me if I get too high
When I come down
I'll be coming home next year

I'm in the sky tonight
There I can keep by your side
Watching the whole world wind around and round
I'll be coming home next year

Come on get on get on
Take it till life runs out
No one can find us now,
Living with our heads underground

I'll be coming home next year
Everything's alright up here
If I come down
I'll be coming home next year
Say good-bye
