Until the End of Time by Justin Timberlake

I don't know. There's just something about the music of this song. I never digested what the lyrics are and what they mean (most probably a love song), but the instant I heard this song and knew it was good.

Justin Timberlake, has so far, churned out good-quality music. I hope it continues.

Listen

Woke up this morning
Heard the TV sayin' something
'Bout disaster in the world and
It made me wonder where I'm going
There's so much darkness in the world
But I see beauty left in you girl
And what you give me let's me know
That I'll be alright

'cause if your love was all I had
In this life
Well that would be enough
Until the end of time
So rest your weary heart
And relax your mind
Cause I'm gonna love you girl
Until the end of time

You've got me singing
Oh whoa, yeah
Oh whoa, yeah
Everybody sing
Oh whoa, yeah
Everybody singing
Oh whoa yeah

Now if you're ever wondering
About the way I'm feeling
Well baby girl there ain't no question
Just to be around you is a blessing
Sick and tired of trying to save the world
I just want to spend my time with you girl
And what you're giving me
Let's me know that we'll be alright.

'cause if your love was all I had
In this life
Well that would be enough
Until the end of time
So rest your weary heart
And relax your mind
Cause I'm gonna love you girl
Until the end of time

You've got me singing
Oh whoa, yeah
Oh whoa, yeah
Everybody sing
Oh whoa, yeah
Everybody singing
Oh whoa yeah

This one's for the lovers
If you're out there let me hear you say
Yeah, yeah, yeah
(Yeah, yeah, yeah)
This one's for the lovers
If you're out there let me hear you say
Yeah, yeah
(Yeah, yeah)
This one's for the lovers
If you're out there let me hear you say
Yeah, yeah, yeah
(Yeah, yeah, yeah)
This one's for the lovers
If you're out there let me hear you say
Yeah, yeah
(Yeah, yeah)

Oh whoa yeah
Oh whoa yeah
Oh whoa yeah
Oh whoa yeah

'cause if your love was all I had
In this life
That would be enough
Until the end of time

Trip to Jerusalem by Eraserheads

There were only 2 singles that I'm familiar with that came of from the Eraserhead's Christmas album aptly titled Fruitcake, one sharing the same title as the album. The other is this song, Trip to Jerusalem.

This is my favorite song of the Fruitcake album. I believe the video for this song might have helped in having that choice. I just remember point of view of the camera traveling and it seems to be flying on some angles.

The guitar riff on the chorus is also SiCk!!! It just sticks in my mind like a glue.

Open your door
Dance on the floor
Hey what’s your name
Let’s play a game
I am the champ
Come see me stomp

It never ends

Oh tell me do you wanna fly
Fly high way up in the sky
Or maybe you don’t even have to try
All you have to do is follow that star

But when the star doesn’t shine
You won’t be able to find your way
And the wiseman will still remain
The king of trip to jerusalem

Sometimes you win
Sometimes you fail
Choose holy blood
Lose holy grail
Just when you think you’ve gone so far
You find yourself back to the start

It never ends

Oh tell me do you wanna fly
Fly high way up in the sky
Or maybe you don’t even have to try
All you have to do is follow that star

But when the star doesn’t shine
You won’t be able to find your way
There won’t be any other chance to be
The king of trip to jerusalem

The music plays like a heavenly choir
Lovely chairs are there if you get tired

Don’t listen to a word he says
He’s just trying to distract you
Do your own thing stick with what you want

Open your drawer
Dance on the floor
And now at last just two of us
Only one chair
Who will sit there
Is it the king or
Is it the heir

It never ends

Oh tell me do you wanna fly
Fly high way up in the sky
Or maybe you don’t even have to try
All you have to do is follow that star

But when the star doesn’t shine
You won’t be able to find your way
The only thing that we can do is pray
On our trip to jerusalem

You Didn't Break It by Steve Vai

I bought my first Steve Vai album at a local record shop for around P100. This was probably one of the more pop oriented songs in the album, a song I definitely loved so much that I included in a mix tape (or more appropriately mixed cd I gave to a girl)

According to the liner notes, it was written by a couple, Bob and Suzannah Harris who goes by the commercial name Rantin and Rayven. On this record, they sang the vocals and backing vocals respectively.

You didn't break it
You didn't break it
You didn't break my heart when you split
You only cracked it just a bit

Somethin's changed
Though I know my heart ain't plastic
I guess through the years it's grown
A little more elastic

'Cause this time cryin' time
Didn't last as long
And my heart just needed minor repairs
And it feels pretty strong
(Feels pretty strong)
And it's movin' right along

You didn't break it
You didn't break it
You didn't break my heart when you split
You only cracked it just a bit

You didn't break it
You didn't break it
You didn't break it
You didn't break my heart

Losin' love, it used to crush me
Now it doesn't
I just figured it was meant to be
Or it wasn't

So if you wanna know
Now that you're gone, the shape I'm in
You never clipped the wings of my heart
It's gonna fly again.

You didn't break it
You didn't break it
You didn't break my heart when you split
You only cracked it just a bit

You didn't break it
You didn't break it
You didn't break it
You didn't break my heart

I got somethin' that keeps me goin'
I got a habit of comin' around, honey
You didn't run me off the highway
You only slowed me down

Hello Again by Hoobastank

Hoobastank was one of my favorite bands during college, especially after getting immersed in Incubus music. Members of both bands were school mates as far as i remember.

The band might be more famous for singles such as the Reason and Crawling in the Dark, but they really had some good songs, one of which is this song, Hello Again.

Dan Estrin, the guitarist, uses a lot of textures and layers for the guitar parts... and I love how the riffs are put together in this song. Bass lines didn't go wrong neither.

I dream that someday we'll be able to
Look back on this together and say

It was for the best and that it made us

Stronger today, stronger today

There's much more for us to see
A brand new day for you and me

And with confidence I say, "We're better than ever"
And I don't know where this will lead
But in my life you need to be
Cause I need to say, "Hello again"

I'm so afraid that if I wait too long
You'll never look in my eyes again

With a look that gave me strength and gave me hope
And made me feel I've inspired

There's much more for us to see
A brand new day for you and me

And with confidence I say, "We're better than ever"
And I don't know where this will lead
But in my life you need to be
Cause I need to say, "Hello again"

Hello again, hello again, yea
Hello again, yea

There's much more for us to see

A brand new day for you and me
And with confidence I say, "We're better than ever"
And I don't know where this will lead
But in my life you need to be
Cause I need to say, "Hello again"
